Eden Marine High School Library is a busy work and recreation place, during both class time and breaks.
The Library has a large and varied supply of resources, both electronic and paper. There is a non fiction area with resources desighned to complement the curriculum plus many resources added to promote the wide range of student and staff interests.
The Fiction section is constantly updated with contemporary literature and the collection of classics is also well maintained.
Students have use of the 15 Mac computers with internet access via the DET Portal. Oasis Library provides access to the collection and is also the database used by library staff for circulation etc.
The Library has an extensive collection of periodicals (magazines) which are used for both research and recreational reading and a range of board games for lunchtime entertainment.
There are printing and photocopying facilities for student use as well as a range of cameras which can be used by seniors when necessary.
The Library is open for use every morning from 8.15 and every lunchtime.
The Library operates a flexible timetable and as well as class bookings, senior students may use the facilities during study periods and all students may visit, with permission of their teachers, at any time.
The Library is well staffed with a Teacher Librarian and 3 SASS staff who arre able to assist students with their needs.
The Library is a friendly environment where all students prepared to respect the rights of others, are very welcome.
